SVSRL Rule Amendments For 2008

Ridget Chassis: It has been brought to my attention that some Ridget cars have moved their engine to the left side and some chassis have been modified to relocate the fuel cell to the left side. To be eligible to compete in a SVSRL event for points, position, or any awards,

All chassis must be straight up and unmodified from approved manufacture specifications.

NO OFFSET CHASSIS

CRADLE AND ENGINE MUST REMAIN CENTER LINE STYLE

ALL CHASSIS MUST PASS INSPECTION FOR APPROVAL BEFORE COMPETITION.

8" Wheels: We have found it necessary to implement a rule change on wheel size. Our current SRL rule book states that 6" & 8" wheels are allowed. We, (the SVSRL) feel that it is in the best interest of our sport to adjust our rules to allow only 8" X 6" wheels only for the remainder of our 2007 racing season and beyond.

NOTE: we only have ? Ridget cars member in this year.

Ridget Chassis: Redget chassis will be required to weigh 680 lbs. to compete in the SVSRL with the exception of the sealed VMRA engine will be allowed to weigh 660 lbs. The weight may need to be adjusted, (increased or decreased) by the SVSRL official at any time during the race season. The weight for the Super MiniCup will stay at 700 lbs.

Note: All engines regardless of seal will be open to full tech procedures. The SVSRL will not recognize engine seals in 2008.

All cars will be required to run a working transponder & raceceiver at Shenandoah Speedway during the 2007 season and beyond.

The Shenandoah Valley Scale Racing League, (SVSRL) is a separate independent racing organization, with no direct connections with the parent company, Scale Racing League (SRL)

The SVSRL will be working with other organizations to unify half scale racing on a local level as well as a East Coast National level.

"The SVSRL" will operate under the "SRL" format during the 2008 race season.

Be aware, the "SVSRL" reserves the right to alter or change any posted rule or regulation at any time as deemed necessary, for any reason deemed necessary to ensure the safety & fairness to all members in our organization.
